I'm Still Kicking Myself . . .

So, we had our annual evening at the ballpark with the company my hubby works for. The food is free, the stadium is brand new, the boys are obsessed with baseball, so it's pretty much the perfect night out for our family! And what do you know, my hubby's name gets pulled out of the hat at work to be the one to throw out the first pitch to represent the company. (There's like 20+ people representing other companies and special things lined up to throw this "first" pitch - but, hey, it's still a pretty big deal, in our opinion!) So, my sweet hubby is allowed to take one person out with him, thus, our oldest is chosen, and not much could take his mind off of this upcoming event for the preceding two weeks! And the youngest was just as excited for his big brother!

The big night arrives and I, of course, was on camera duty in the front row behind home plate. But being the novice photographer that I am, the split second I had to take the shot of my son throwing out his first pitch to the real live L.V. Iron Pigs catcher . . .

was a big BLUR!
I forgot to take into account the netting hanging in front of me when I zoomed in.
And no chance for a second shot! :(

Yeah, I have these other nice pictures, but the most important shot, . . . oh well!  It was a very special night for my boys, even if I didn't get the perfect picture of it. :)

Garrett got to keep his first pitch baseball, and Carson got to pick out a toy bat in the gift shop for having such a good attitude about his big brother being the one to go out on the field and throw that pitch!

I'm sure we'll be going again next year, but this year's game will always be an extra special ballgame memory! :)
