"Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor. For if they fall, one will lift up his companion." Ecclesiastes 4:9-10
"Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate." Genesis 2:24 and Matthew 19:5-6
"And the Lord God said, "It is not good that man should be alone; I will make him a helper comparable to him." Genesis 2:18
These are our boys! Words fail when trying to explain a mother's love! Garrett, on the left, is our eldest son! He's a self-motivated home schooler, a caring big brother, an intensely competitive sports player, and still very affectionate with his mother! But, nothing makes him happier than spending time with his Dad!Carson, on the right, is our youngest son! He is a bundle of energy and rarely stops talking! His mind works overtime and he LOVES using big words.! :) He is very attached to his stuffed puppy dog as well as his real dog. He loves intensely and gets his feeling hurt just as deeply. Carson is definitely a momma's boy, but doesn't want to miss out on what Garrett and Daddy are doing.
They are both growing up so fast! Time certainly does pass quickly with children, doesn't it? (Very sobering when you think about the relatively short time frame you have as a parent to mold and shape them.) Boys are definitely an intense handful, but as frustrated and exhausted as they make me sometimes, I still can't wait for them to jump out of bed each morning! And the sight of them sleeping peacefully on their pillows, their hands tucked under their cheek, chokes me up with love and joy, EVERY SINGLE NIGHT!
"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward" Psalm 127:3
"There is no nobler career than that of motherhood at its best . . . There is no higher height to which humanity can attain than that occupied by a converted, heaven-inspired, praying mother." - Elisabeth Elliot
